Sunt putin offff, dar vreau opinia unuia care a trecut personal de la tddi la tdci. Eu am avut doar o experienţă cu 1,6tdci şi, în compataţie cu el, 1,8-ul meu tddi (şi al tău, cristi) mi s-a părut că sună mai frumos.

Eu am condus ceva km 1.6TDCi de 90 si pot spune ca e mai rafinat din toate punctele de vedere.

Acum sa vedem ce zice si focus_tddi

E off-topic, dar deocamdata voi raspunde aici.

Intre Focus I 1.8 TDDI si Focus II 1.6 TDCI sunt diferente destul de mari, ele fiind dezvoltate pe platforme diferite. De aici vin multe avantaje dar si dezavantaje:

Avantaje Focus 2:
- platforma comuna cu Volvo S40 si Mazda 3, mai lata cu 10cm decat Focus 1, mai mult spatiu si stabilitate mai buna
- echipare mai buna (poti gasi Focus II cu navigatie OEM cu touchscreen, senzor ploaie, senzor lumina, senzor ploaie, tempomat, reglare sensibilitate directie din computerul de bord: sport, comfort)
- insonorizare mult mai buna in habitaclu (dar nu suficienta). Merita comparate chederele de la usi Focus 1 vs Focus 2.
- motoare common rail mult mai silentioase
- scaune standard mai comode
- trepte mai lungi, potrivite condusului pe autostrada: Focus 1.8 TDDI: 150Km/h -> 3500 Rot/min, Focus 2 1.6 TDCI: 150km/h -> 3000 Rot/min
- turbina cu geometrie variabila: mai putin turbo lag. De la 1700 Rot/min poti sa accelerezi mai vioi.

Dezavantaje Focus 2:
- greutatea mai mare si directia electrohidraulica reduc putin din placerea de a conduce ce o ofera Focus 1. Focus 1 cu suspensia standard, desi avea un ruliu mai mare in curbe, iti dadea un sentiment de siguranta prin raspunsul foarte bun. La focus 2, ruliul in viraje e mult mai redus dar directia chiar setata pe sport e mai "rupta" fata de ce se intampla pe sosea. Pe Comfort e ca si cum ai conduce un VW :-"
- suspensie mai sensibila: in 80.000km la Focus I nu a trebuit sa schimb nici o componenta la suspensie, desi am fost des pe drumuri rele ("zburat" peste pod nefinializat :), janta + anvelope distruse in gropi). La Focus 2 am schimbat deja amortizoare fata, planetarele au deja o uzura.
- motor common rail mult mai pretentios la combustibil fata de TDDI
- intretinere scumpa pentru DPF unde e cazul (schimbat filtru + aditiv)
- treptele mai lungi: desi ai 19 CP in plus, nu prea se simte la viteze normale
- cursa ambreiajului prea lunga, schimbator mai putin precis

Alte diferente, greu de catalogat in avantaje/dezavantaje:
- 1.8 TDDI avea un turbo-kick la 2000Rot/Min, il vreau inapoi :)
- 1.6 TDCI are o acceleratie mult mai liniara, e mult mai confortabil dar si mai plictisitor
- interior total diferit. Focus 2 e mai sobru, Focus 1 e mai creativ desi putin demodat
- 1.8 TDDI suna mai frumos: la turatii mici are o nota ce seamana cu jucaria aia de lemn ce e folosita pe stadioane (http://www.tofalvi.ro/uploaded/images/favak2.gif). La accelerari puternice are o nota mai grava de motor mare. Cand treci insa de 3500 e doar zgomot.
- 1.6 TDCI e foarte silentios pentru un diesel, la viteze mai mari auzi doar zgomot de anvelope. La turatii mai mari nu e neplacut, dar nu are nici o nota deosebita.

Vad ca si la avantaje si la dezavantaje ai trecut "treptele mai lungi". Sa inteleg ca te avantajeaza si te si dezavantajeaza? Detaliaza te rog sau make up your mind.
Cred ca ai uitat sa treci la avantaje stabilitatea focusului 2 in viraje fata de focus 1. Cel putin eu am condus varianta tournir de la focus 1 si nu mi s-a parut a fi foarte stabila.

Nee , daca monteaza bordul lui FF1 la naveta Enterprise in 2100 tot o sa li se para modern si futurist ! ;) Din punct de vedere estetic cred ca FF1 arata mai bine decit FF2 !

O parere personala despre TDCI-urile de 1.6(Ford sau PSA) .... mie nu imi plac deloc cum suna! Nu am condus nici unul dar sunetul pe care il are motorul ala ma face sa ma gandesc ... ca ceva e defect la motorul ala .. nush de ce.

Turbokick-ul e specific masinilor cu o turbina fara geometrie variabila.

Un motor aspirat tinde sa aibe o acceleratia constanta (vezi curbele de putere/cuplu: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/power12v.jpg) in timp ce un motor turbo va avea un varf de cuplu intre anumite turatii (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/powertdi.jpg). Acel varf de cuplu il simti ca si turbokick: motorul este "puturors" pana ajunge la o anumita turatie iar pe urma trebuie sa te tii bine de volan :D

ca posesor de focus 1 cu facelift sincer spun ca arata mai sportiv ca focus 2 ,masina e mai coborata la focus 1 si are un aer sportiv,nu zic ca focus 2 nu e masina dar parca e ca la filmele alea din mai multe episoade,primul episod e cel mai bun.

am si eu o parere personala ff1 e campion la interior iar ff2 campion la exterior.cel putin bordul si panourile usilor la ff2 parca sunt taiate cu toporul, e patratos in habitaclu spre deosebire de ff1 care e destul de futurist si rotunjit
