VALENCIA, Spain, May 14, 2010 – Ford of Spain is introducing a new high-series addition to its Kuga line-up. Named after the country’s most exclusive ski resort in the Aran Valley, in the heart of the Pyrenees, the new Kuga Baqueira Beret is an exclusive model geared towards winter sports fans who value a unique design.


The limited edition model is now available with a price of €29,750 and snow-loving drivers are encouraged to act quickly, as only 500 of these special Kugas are being offered.


This new version brings added style and exclusivity to the already popular Kuga line-up. Based on the Titanium version, the Kuga Baqueira Beret comes with a complete equipment package including a sports kit with a front skirt, special 19-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, roof rails, LED headlights, a rear parking sensor, voice activated Bluetooth and a USB port. Performance comes from a 2.0-litre TDCi engine (with 140PS instead of 136PS), a six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive, combining outstanding handling and traction with excellent fuel economy.


Spokeswoman for the limited edition Kuga model is Spanish Olympic medalist Blanca Fernández Ochoa, the Blue Oval's adviser for winter sports related activities.
